Anodized and bare aluminium masts can fade and oxidize. Anodized aluminium can get pits from salt corrosion.

The coating contains antioxidants, salt protectors and will resist staining from bleaches and acids contained in bird droppings. The cured coating provides an aqua-phobic layer that requires very little maintenance. The coating is self-annealing and self-levelling it can be maintained indefinitely.
