Jewellery kit

Im interested in the large jewellery Kit because we are trying to make copper bracelats and im loosing the gloss in the copper after some time(when wearing). So i would like to ask if the Kit will help to keep that gloss and for how long? And if It needs to be reapplied And if yes after what time?

Hi Viliam, thank you for your interest in the jewellery Kit! Yes, our jewellery kit is specifically designed to protect jewellery from oxidation and discolouration, significantly extending the longevity of its lustrous shine. This is particularly effective against natural oxidation caused by skin contact, moisture, and exposure to air during wear, offering far superior protection compared to untreated copper jewellery. Under normal wear conditions, the protective effect typically lasts for several years, depending on factors such as frequency of wear, skin composition, exposure to sweat/water/lotions, and maintenance practices. Numerous users report that on frequently worn pieces, this protective layer maintains a like-new polished finish for over two years before beginning to wear off. You may reapply as needed; simply apply directly after cleaning, just as you did for the initial application.

New Balcony with aluminium needs protection

Just had a new glass balcony installed. We live on the coast so plenty of salt and wind about. The bottom retaining track is made of Aluminium with the surface a silver coloured anodised finish. We would like to protect this metal to maintain the metals appearance and reduce the need to clean to remove 'spots' in the future. Any ideas?

Hi Joanna! For your anodised aluminium balcony track in a coastal environment, we recommend ProtectaClear. This clear, durable coating is specifically formulated to protect metals from salt air, corrosion, oxidation, and spotting in high-salt conditions. It creates a thin, nearly invisible barrier that repels salt deposits and moisture, significantly minimising spotting and reducing the need for spot removal or frequent cleaning compared to an uncoated surface.

The coating greatly reduces salt adhesion, so routine spot removal should be minimal. When you think it need be clean, please avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals to maintain the anodised finish and coating integrity. Hope this helps :)

Cleaning brushes after coating

So I just bought a new bottle of Protactaclear and used the new cloth to apply it to some jewellery.

But how do you clean the cloth or a brush after?

Soap and water did not work, just left the cloth all stiff and sticky.

Good morning, Nana. Thank you for your question. For the brush, we recommend cleaning it with cellulose thinners. For the cloth, we recommend using the white cloth supplied with the product and disposing of it after use.

Tip: Stay Away from Homemade Weathering Cocktails on the Internet

Our wholesale side has had a lot of clients recently asking to try and save their corten steel. All of these clients used homemade weathering cocktails that they had found on the Internet.

What went wrong?

To get the chemical reaction effect, these internet recipes usually tell people to make cocktails using vinegar and salt. This does cause a chemical reaction in the weathered steel, but there are a few problems with this.

The most important thing to know is that it's hard to control how quickly and when the reaction happens when you're using home-made cocktails. The great instability makes it hard for customers to judge how much the chemical reaction is happening and to take the right action.
